Summary
Netflix's The Crown manages to take material that could have been a slog to get through, and turn it into a compelling, insightful examination of Queen Elizabeth's early days on the throne. Surrounding a magnificent Claire Foy is a stellar supporting cast led by Matt Smith and John Lithgow who find a way to mine fantastic scripts to bring the characters to life.
