Friday Night Mics Podcast

Hosted ByMichael Lanich, Sarah Cano

Co-host Sarah has never watched the show, while Michael has watched it several times over. Will Sarah like it? Go along on the journey with her in our Friday Night Lights podcast!

A few years after Friday Night Lights started, I finally watched the first episode and I was immediately hooked.  Since then I have watched the show several times over.  Now Sarah and I were finishing up reviewing Hannibal’s third season and I floated the idea that we should do a re-watch of the show.  She agreed . . . . hesitantly, I could tell.  Sarah is from Canada and therefore knows almost nothing about American Football, so I wouldn’t say she was thrilled at the idea of watching a show like this, but she gave it a shot.

This began an odyssey as we navigated our way through five seasons of the show and I watched as Sarah was exposed to some truly spectacular episodes and emotional moments that leveled me the first time through the series.  But the question ultimately is whether or not she liked it.  That I think is something you will have to witness for yourself by joining Sarah on her journey.

Friday Night Lights is among the greatest t.v. shows of all-time and should stand the test of time.  It created possibly the best and most accurate depiction of marriage I’ve ever seen.
