Review Summary
Starship Troopers is probably one of the most misunderstood movies of all-time. It simply took a decade for enough people to see that it was a lampooning of jingoistic militarism. The movie's acting is still a bit of an issue (although the campiness could be on purpose) but on the whole, this movie manages to say quite a bit. It's worth watching today more than ever and it's special effects hold up after more than 20 years. That is impressive.
