Summary
Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life appears to have finished off the series as Amy Sherman-Palladino wanted. With that being said, it doesn't seem like there was enough material or forethought on these characters and how they would have changed over the years. Most of the characters seem to act or go through situations that their early twenty-something selves would have gone through. The writing just doesn't feel up to the level of quality that it was back in it's prime over a decade ago.

Summary
Equal parts strong and weak, the Winter and Spring portion of the Gilmore Girls revival manage to reintroduce us to the characters we fell in love with. However, the are some seriously uneven storylines and it feels as though there is some real filler. Couple that with some odd character choices and it feels as though some post-Amy canon was deliberately ignored. A solid, if unspectacular return overall.
